DALLAS (SMU)- Using Reagan Bradley's first double-double of the season, including 11 points and a career-high 10 assists, the SMU women's basketball team defeated Charlotte 64-49 on Sunday evening in Moody Coliseum.

SMU (13-12; 7-7 American Athletic Conference) only trailed for 37 seconds. Bradley added to her double-double with five rebounds and two steals. Jiya Perry turned in career-highs in points with 10 and rebounds with seven. Chantae Embry scored 17 points, added eight boards, and passed out four assists. Amirah Abdur-Rahim scored 10 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and blocked two shots.

Tiara Young finished with eight points and two rebounds, and TK Pitts chipped in six boards, two points, one assist, and a steal. Donavia Hall finished with four points and three boards.

SMU made five out of six shots from the field, including a 6-0 to take a 25-point lead in the third. The 49ers used a 6-0 to cut their deficit to 12, but free throws from Hall and a bucket from Abdur-Rahim extended the Mustangs lead back to double digits, and SMU used its separation down the strech to seal the victory.

The Mustangs scored a quick four points to start the second, forcing the 49ers to burn a timeout. SMU closed the half on a 14-3 run led by nine second-quarter points from Perry. The Mustangs held the 49ers without a bucket for the last five minutes of the quarter. SMU held Charlotte scoreless for the final two and a half minutes of the quarter, and Bradley hit a pull-up jumper to give SMU a 17-12 lead heading to the second.
