The Aquatics Center features an Olympic-sized, eight-lane indoor pool with a platform diving area, including four springboards and a 10-meter tower for training and competition. Coaches' offices, men's, women's and visitor locker rooms and a classroom and meeting area are located adjacent to the pool. Spectator seating for 800 is on the mezzanine level. This will be the Mustangs' fourth consecutive year hosting AACs and fifth time hosting since 2015.

FRESH FACES

For the spring semester, the Mustangs have added two new swimmers - CJ Kovac from the University of Missouri and freshman Isabella Bedoya.

CJ Kovac joins her brother, Danny, who also transferred into the men's program.

RELAYING THE TIMES

Gudmundsdottir, Lucrezia Napoletano, Indra Vandenbussche, Becerra and Bedoya have frequently represented the Mustangs in the relay team.

Gudmundsdottir, Bedoya, Vandenbussche and Napoletano finished the 200 free relay with a win in SMU's most recent meet, touching the wall in 1:31.43.

Leal, Lewis, Bedoya and Gudmundsdottir finished the 200 medley relay with a third place finish in the Mustang's most recent meet, combining for 1:40.29.

ALL AROUND THE WORLD

Becerra participated in the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile in October of 2023.

While there, she set a new absolute record for Colombia in the 100 meters fly. She touched the wall in 59.21.

Becerra was selected as one of just five women representing the South American country of Colombia.

Becerra most recently traveled to Qatar where she represented Colombia at the World Aquatics Championships.

Gumundsdottir also traveled to Qatar for the World Aquatics Championships, representing Iceland.

11 IS HEAVEN

While hosting OCU and UIW, the Mustangs won a total of eleven events.

Gudmundsdottir won three events she competed in, including the 200 medley, 50 free and 400 free relay.

Becerra finished almost two seconds ahead of all other swimmers in the 100 fly, touching the wall in 55.66.

"For them to find ways to race and go about it the way they did, that's pretty good stuff for the future," head coach Ozzie Quevedo said.

NINE, SO FINE

While away at Houston, the Mustangs won nine out of 13 events.

Gudmundsdottir won four events she competed in, including the 200 medley, 50 free, 100 free and 200 free relay.

Leal earned another win for SMU with her 1:59.33 performance in the 200 back.

Mya VanderHagen and Maddy Lewis also secured wins for the Mustangs in the 500 free and the 200 breast, respectively.

IN THE DIVING WELL

Freshman Ava Andersen, senior Jaclynn Fowler and graduate student Nicole Stambo compete for SMU in the diving well.

Andersen totaled 270.45 for fourth place in the 3 meter against Texas.

Fowler clinched second in the 1 meter with a final score of 306.60.
