DALLAS, Texas (SMU) -- The Mustangs will head in two directions for this week's races. Sprints and jumps will head south for competition at Texas Relays and Texas State's Bobcat Invitational while the distance ponies head to California for the Stanford Invite and Mike Fanelli Classic. 

"We are headed to two of the premier events of the weekend and season," Head Coach A'Havahla Haynes said. "The opportunity to improve is available and executing individual processes is necessary." 

SMU is coming off a successful weekend of moving up the conference and national lists of top performances this season and this weekend will provide great competition to continue driving the Mustangs forward. 

In the first regional rankings of the season released today, SMU is placed17th in the South Central Region out of nearly 40 teams. Conference rankings won't be released until April eighth. 

Action will begin on Wednesday of this week and run through Saturday.
