DALLAS (SMU) — The SMU men's soccer team and head coach Kevin Hudson unveiled the 2024 schedule on Tuesday. The Mustangs will host Stanford, Wake Forest, Pitt and Virginia Tech at Washburne Stadium as part of the program's inaugural ACC slate.
The 2023 American Athletic Conference champions are coming off a 14-3-2 season that included a trip to the NCAA Sweet 16. The Mustangs went undefeated in league play (7-0-1) and had a record of 11-2-1 at home.
SMU starts the season with five straight home games, hosting Air Force, Oral Roberts, St. Louis, Denver. The Mustangs open ACC play by hosting Pittsburgh on Sept. 7. The ACC road matches are at Cal, Duke, NC State and Louisville.
Seven of the Mustangs' 16 opponents had NCAA Tournament appearances last season, including Denver, who the Mustangs' defeated 2-1 in the NCAA second round.
SMU is returning Bailey Sparks, a second-team All American and reigning AAC Midfielder of the Year. The Mustangs' also return Niv Berkovitz, the reigning AAC Rookie of the Year.
Hudson's program is coming off of their 35th NCAA Tournament Appearance and its 21st Regular Season Conference Championship.

SMU has already set a new season-ticket sales record for Ford Stadium, with sales up more than 60%, and tickets for men's and women's basketball are also selling at record rates.
