SMU Cross Country and Track and Field Announces 2024-25 Signing Class

DALLAS, Texas (SMU) -- SMU Cross Country and Track and Field announces six additions to its roster for the 2024-25 season. 

"The group of women we have joining us are pivotal in the ACC," Head Coach A'Havahla Haynes said. "Each brings a strong work ethic and a desire to make an impact within this program and beyond. We are excited to have them on campus soon!" 

Emily Little comes to the Hilltop as a graduate student, previously competing at Furman University. She comes to SMU with a number of accolades, including All-Southern Conference Cross Country (First Team); All-Southern Conference Indoor Track in the 3,000m and the 5,000m; All-Southern Conference Outdoor Track in the 5,000m and 10,000m; Southern Conference All-Freshman Cross Country; Southern Conference All-Freshman Outdoor Track; and numerous All-Academic Awards. Little is originally from Atlanta, Georgia.  

Charlotte Greenwood is one of the new Mustangs and comes from Auckland, New Zealand where she attended St. Cuthbert's College. Greenwood will be a member of both the cross country and track and field teams. She has run 5:10.86 in the mile, 4:40.68 in 1,500, and 2:17.53 in the 800. 

Jasmine Franklin will join the sprints squad at SMU, having run 24.04 in the 200 and as the reigning 2024 3A State Champion. Originally from Paris, Texas, Franklin attended Paris High School. 

Kelis Jules brings her talents in sprints and hurdles from Frisco, Texas competing at Lone Star Frisco High School. She has posted times of 13.81 in the 100mH and 12.24 in the 100.  

Magnolia Crissup attended Jenks High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She comes to SMU with a time of 56.62 in the 400 and 25.22 in the 200. 

Melania Jetawo comes from Garland, Texas to join the Mustang jumps squad. She attended North Garland High School where she jumped 18 feet, 3 inches (5.56m) in the long jump and 39 feet, 8 inches (12.09m) in the triple jump. 

These six athletes will join the roster for the upcoming season – SMU's first in the ACC.
