DALLAS (SMU) - The Mustang Club is thrilled to announce significant enhancements to its exclusive pregame tailgate for donors, located at Armstrong Fieldhouse, as SMU prepares for its debut football season in the prestigious Atlantic Coast Conference. These updates, including a new location and entrance, a digital donor card system, and upgraded amenities and entertainment, are designed to elevate the overall tailgate experience and create unforgettable memories for Mustang Club donors.
Â
New Tailgate Location and Entrance
Â
As in prior seasons, the Mustang Club tailgate will be located in the 67,000-square-foot, climate-controlled Armstrong Fieldhouse. However, new this season, the Mustang Club Tailgate will now be centered in the 4,000-square-foot Miller Boulevard Ballroom in the northwest corner of the facility. Conveniently located at the corner of Bishop Boulevard and Binkley Avenue, this new entrance will provide direct access to the larger Boulevard celebration and the team's Mustang Walk. Never-before access to the Weber Observation Deck overlooking the field will offer a bird's-eye view of the festivities and a perfect photo spot for guests.
Â
Digital Donor Card
Â
To streamline the check-in process, Mustang Club donor cards will now be digital, aligning with the department's move to mobile season tickets and parking passes. This upgrade ensures a quicker and more efficient entry experience. Donors can download the digital card to their mobile wallets and present them at Armstrong Fieldhouse for access to the pregame tailgate. View
detailed instructions on how to access and download the digital donor card.
Â
New Food Offerings
Â
Due to low redemption rates, Mustang Club food and drink vouchers have been discontinued. However, the same food truck vendors guests have grown accustomed to will still be present on Binkley Avenue for convenient day-of-game food purchases. Complementing these options, the Mustang Club will offer complimentary tailgate snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, and two cash bars featuring – for the first time – liquor and a signature cocktail at each game.
Â
Additional Restrooms
Â
Addressing one of the main deficiencies from previous seasons, the new location at the Miller Boulevard Ballroom provides ample men's and women's restrooms, ensuring a more comfortable experience for all patrons.
Â
New On-Field Amenities and Entertainment
Â
Once on the field, donors will enjoy a variety of enhancements including a beer and wine garden, yard games, lounge furniture and a photo booth. Additionally, the Pony Up Pregame show, broadcast live on Facebook, will air in the southwest corner of the donor tailgate area.
