CHARLOTTE (The ACC/SMU) – The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and SMU announced the addition of a ninth conference game for the upcoming 2026 season on Tuesday.

The Mustangs will host Virginia Tech at Gerald J. Ford Stadium. The addition is part of the new nine-game model the conference will use beginning next year.

The Hokies join a previously announced conference slate that features Boston College, Cal, Virginia and Wake Forest at home while going on the road to face Florida State, Louisville, Stanford and Syracuse.

The ACC will unveil the full 2026 football schedule, including all game dates, in late January.
