B.J. Edwards was named ACC Player of the Week for the second time this season, the league office announced on Monday. Edwards recorded his second triple-double of the season in Sunday's win and is the only player in the nation with multiple triple-doubles this season.
Edwards helped the Mustangs get to 11-2 on the season with 21 points, 10 assists, a career-high 11 rebounds and five steals in the 110-63 win over Cal State Fullerton on Sunday. He shot 8-for-10 from the floor and 3-for-5 on threes in the victory. The triple-double is just the seventh in SMU history and the 43
rd in ACC history. He had 24 points, 13 assists and an SMU-record 10 steals for his first triple-double on Nov. 21 in the 100-69 triumph versus Arkansas State. Edwards and Duke's Cameron Boozer (three times) are the only players to win ACC Player of the Week multiple times this season.
