PAUMA VALLEY, Calif. (SMU) – SMU men's golf finished in 13
th place at the Pauma Valley Invitational from Pauma Valley Country Club.
The Mustangs held onto their 13
th-place standing they had at the end of yesterday. On the docket for day two was the completion of round two and the entirety of round three. The Mustangs finished round two at eight over par, to put them at 15-over for the tournament. The team shot one over in round three to end at 16-over. They finished eight shots back of a spot in the top eight.
Zachary Kingsland was the top Mustang finisher at the event. He shot rounds of 72, 74 and 68. His final round came with no bogeys on his final 17 holes. He finished in a tie for 27
th, up 18 spots on the final day.
Will Sides ended the day tied for 47
th at six over par. Sides shot 73 in each round.
One shot back,
Enrique Dimayuga and
Areen Aggarwal were among those tied in 50
th at seven-over. Dimayuga shot 72 on the final round with four birdies. Aggarwal moved up with a one-over final round.
Matthew Foster finished in a tie for 69
th at 11-over par.
The Mustangs travel back to California for the final event of the regular season, The Goodwin. Hosted by Stanford, the tournament runs March 27-29 in Palo Alto.
