SMU rowing welcomes Martha Whiting to its 2025-26 incoming freshman class.
 
Whiting hails from Cambridge, UK where she rowed with Rob Roy Boat Club. She placed second at the British Rowing Championship. She also finished second in the British Junior Sculling Regatta in 2024 and placed third in the same event in 2025.
 
"Number one for Martha is she knows how to work hard in and out of the boat," said head coach Chase Graham. "She loves to race with her teammates and is not afraid to speak up when it can benefit the group around her."
 
She is most excited about getting to train everyday with other people passionate about rowing.
