SMU Athletics Welcomes Noah Beveridge as Assistant Cross Country & Track Coach

DALLAS, Texas (SMU) -- Southern Methodist University (SMU) is excited to announce the addition of Noah Beveridge to the Mustangs' coaching staff as they gear up for their second season competing in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). A dynamic and passionate former member of Syracuse University's cross country and track & field programs, Beveridge brings a wealth of competitive experience and dedication to the SMU Athletics family.

Noah Beveridge garnered All-ACC honors in cross country and was named ACC Performer of the Week. Noah was a versatile athlete—from the 1,000m to the 10,000m—showcasing his athleticism. Noah embodies the qualities SMU seeks as it continues to build a competitive presence in the ACC.

"Noah's dedication to both individual and team success, coupled with his passion for distance running, makes him an ideal fit for our program," Head Coach 'A Havahla Haynes said. "We're thrilled to welcome someone of his caliber as we enter our second year in the ACC."

SMU Athletics is confident that Beveridge's arrival will energize the Mustangs' cross country and track efforts, inspiring student-athletes to push their limits as they aim for greater achievements in the ACC.

"I am thankful for the opportunity to join SMU Cross Country and Track and Field," Beveridge said. "I am excited to work with a staff who has coached together since 2019 and who have immediately made me feel welcomed. Their vision and goals for the program made me excited to join SMU.

The ACC is the most competitive distance conference in the country — making it a great test for national competition. SMU has the resources and talent to compete with the very best nationally.

I look forward to accomplishing our goals in cross country and track with motivated student-athletes."

Born in Butler, Pennsylvania, Beveridge is married to the former Eleanor Lawler, a professional triathlete.
