DALLAS, Texas (SMU) -- SMU has another action-packed weekend ahead of the team with a two-day meet in Albuquerque for the University of New Mexico's Dr. MLK Jr. Invitational. Last weekend, the Mustangs started off 2026 with a slew of personal bests and new top-10 times. 

The Mustangs will get another week of competition under their belt this weekend before the first rankings of the season come out next week. This is one of four regular season meets remaining in the indoor season before the Mustangs compete in their second ACC Indoor Track and Field Championship, and each weekend provides opportunities to meet the conference standards and secure their spot to compete at conference. 

SMU will begin their competition weekend at 5 p.m. (CST) on Friday with the long jump. The meet will be available to follow along through both live results and live streaming.
