DALLAS (SMU) - Head coach Kelcy McKenna and the SMU women's tennis program released their 2026 spring schedule on Friday afternoon. It marks the first dual match season for the program under McKenna.  
 
The Mustangs will open the 2026 season with a home doubleheader on Jan. 16 against Air Force at 10 a.m., followed by Abilene Christian at 4 p.m.  
 
SMU will hit the road for the first time against Wichita State three days later, before a four-match homestand starting with their second doubleheader of the season, hosting UTRGV and Elon, the following weekend on Jan. 25.  
 
In its biggest non-conference match of the season, SMU will host Arizona on Jan. 31, followed by another home test against Grand Canyon on Feb. 6. Before jumping into ACC action, the Mustangs will make the short trip to battle UT Arlington on Feb. 13. 
 
ACC play begins at Virginia Tech on Feb. 20. SMU will take on 12 ACC opponents, 10 straight, starting with the Hokies. SMU is set to host Duke, North Carolina, Wake Forest, NC State, California and Stanford. On top of the road match against Virginia Tech, the Mustangs will travel to Virginia, Boston College, Syracuse, Louisville and Notre Dame.  
 
Six of the 12 teams SMU will face in league play are ranked in the ITA Preseason Top 25 released on Jan. 7.  
 
Non-conference matches at San Diego State on March 26 and home against USF on March 29 precede the final two regular-season matches against Cal and Stanford, before the ACC Championships, which take place in Cary, N.C., from April 14-19.
