Huang Tied In Eighth After Round One

GRANBURY, Texas (SMU) - SMU Men's Golf Alex Huang is tied for eighth after finishing one under par after the first round of the ACU Intercollegiate on Monday.

With one round on the first day of the tournament, SMU finished the day at seventh with nine over par, following only one stroke behind Michigan.

Huang kept his score card at par or under besides one hole, including two birdies. This will be his fourth round of the season finishing under par.

Louie Liu started the day off strong on the back nine, with four birdies. The junior finished tied at 15th at one over par.
Â
Nicholas Logis completed the first 18 with a score of 74(+2) and tied for 22nd. SMU concluded the round with three golfers within the first half of the 47 person pool.

The Mustangs will return tomorrow morning to start the second round. Ben Steinmann will start the SMU lineup at 9:55 a.m. CT.
