COMPLETE MEET RESULTS

ATLANTA (SMU) – SMU junior Jack Berube secured Second-Team All-America honors in the 200 back after posting a record-breaking 1:38.96 on the final day of the 2026 NCAA DI Men's Swimming & Diving Championships in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday.

Berube's performance marked a new program best of 1:38.96 in the 200 back, a record he has already broken twice in this season alone. The Texas native finished 14th overall, earning him a spot on the All-America Second Team. Berube also competed in the 100 back earlier in the competition, logging another SMU record of 45.73.

Freshman Grant Cates concluded his NCAA debut on platform. The Indiana native posted a mark of 315.50 to place 27th overall. The relay team of Sage Sungail, Harold Lockhart, Francis Brennan and Eli Likins recorded a time of 2:49.40 in the 400 free relay, earning 21st overall.

ALL-AMERICANS
At this year's NCAA Championships, the Mustangs have seen six athletes take home All-America honors:

Luke Sitz - 1-meter, first overall; 3-meter, second overall, first-team
Sage Sungail, Jack Forrest, Francis Brennan, Harold Lockhart - 800 free relay, 15th overall, second-team
Jack Berube - 200 back, 14th overall, second-team

SMU also found itself with four new program records after NCAAs:

The Mustangs placed 23rd with 44 points in the NCAA Championships, improving 12 spots from last year's finish.
