DALLAS (SMU) – SMU Women's Tennis won its fourth straight match on Sunday, sweeping South Florida (5-13) at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex in Dallas.

The Mustangs improved to 14-5 on the season with two more regular season matches left before the ACC Tournament starts on April 14. The victory for SMU marked its third sweep in its last four matches.   

SMU won its 16th doubles point of the season, winning courts two and three. The Mustangs' court two pair of Sophie Llewellyn and Natalie Stasny moved to 12-4 on the season with a 6-2 win. Addison Comiskey and Ellie Mireles also won 6-2 in their match on court three to clinch the doubles point.   

No. 10-ranked Amelie Van Impe and Caroline McGinley were up 5-4 in their match on court one.   

The Mustangs have won 16 out of 19 doubles points this season.     

The match moved to singles, where the Mustangs won the first set on four of the six courts. Addison Comiskey finished the first of three straight set victories with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Loana Vargas of South Florida.   

Comiskey earned her 11th win of the spring and has won five straight matches.   

No. 63 Amelie Van Impe and No. 61 Sophie Llewellyn finished within seconds of each other on courts one and two, respectively. Van Impe downed Melisa Senli 6-3, 6-1, and the Llewellyn clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-2 decision over Sienna Leeson of South Florida.  

The win marks the team-leading 12th for Llewellyn and the 10th for Van Impe in dual match play. Llewellyn leads the team with a combined 24 dual matches wins across doubles and singles, and 39 wins between the fall and spring seasons of her sophomore campaign.
