Minutes later, Jaylinn Mitchell drew a foul inside the box to win a penalty kick. Emmanuel stepped up and blasted the spot kick into the net to make it 2-0 in the 54th minute.

SMU kept attacking, Milton Lopez ran in behind SLU's defensive line but was fouled in a clear goalscoring opportunity. Saint Louis went down to 10 men.

After drawing the foul, Lopez added to the scoreline minutes later with a first-time curler on Mitchell's cross in the 66th minute to score his first goal of the season.

The Mustangs did not stop at 3-0. Mitchell once again drove through the left wing, finding Lopez in the middle of the penalty box, who smashes the ball into the net, adding the lead to four goals in the 69th minute.
