SMU Men's Swimming and Diving Announces 2026-27 Schedule

DALLAS (SMU) - SMU's Men's Swimming and Diving released their 2026-27 season this Thursday, including seven home and five away meets.

After the Intrasquad Scrimmage, the first official meet will be at home on Oct. 2 competing against Oklahoma Christian University and University of the Incarnate Word. SMU will host the annual SMU Classic from Oct. 9 and 10.

The next two meets are back to back in Arizona on Oct. 22 and 23 to compete against Arizona, followed by Arizona State.Â

The month of November starts on the fourth with a dual-meet against TCU at home (Nov. 4). Right before Thanksgiving, SMU Invite will be held Nov. 18th through the 21st.Â

The start of the new year is Jan. 4th, where the Mustangs will host OCU and William Carey. On Jan. 8th, defending National Champions, No. 1 Texas, will come to Dallas for a dual meet. On Jan. 22 and 23, SMU has home and away back to back days. The Mustangs will stay home for Utah, then head over to College Station to compete against Texas A&M. The following week, SMU travels to Louisiana to contend against LSU.Â

Postseason will start at the ACC Championships and will run through Feb. 16 to Feb. 20 in Greensboro, N.C. Last season, Luke Sitz won gold in the 1-meter and bronze in the 3-meter. NCAA Diving Zone D will be March 8 through March 10 in Austin, Texas.
A few weeks later, the NCAA Swimming and Diving National Championships will also be held in Austin, Texas (March 24 to March 27). Last season, Sitz finished as a NCAA Champion in the 1-meter event and a Silver Medalist in the 3-meter. Jack Berube competed in the 200 back and gained NCAA Second-Team All-American status. Francis Brennan, Jack Forrest, Sage Sungail and Harold Lockhart earned Second-Team All-America honors for 800 free relay, where Brennan posted a new school record in the 200 free.
