PERSONAL: Olivia Grace Lackner was born in Highland Park, Illinois to parents Jeannie Lynch and Steve Lackner ⦠Lackner grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina with her two siblings Isabella and Anna ⦠her eldest sister Isabella runs track at Baylor ⦠she plans on majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Economics while on the Hilltop ⦠she chose SMU because of the rigorous academics, the strong athletics programs and the great location ⦠a member of a jazz ensemble that was selected to perform at the Lincoln Center ⦠Olivia enjoys gardening, cooking and traveling and her favorite athlete is Becky Wade ⦠Ā

HIGH SCHOOL: Lackner lettered for four yearsĀ in Track & Field and Cross Country while attending St. Thomas Moore Academy in Raleigh ⦠she was coached by France Klein during her time at St. Thomas ⦠three-time conference champions and two-time conference runner of the year ⦠had three fourth places finishes at the State Championships ⦠In Track, was a State runner-up in the 1600 after a third place finish her junior year ⦠twice medaledĀ in the 3200 at State ⦠Team captain her junior and senior season and helped her team place second in state in 2015, third in 2016 and fourth in 2017 ⦠was a part of the relay team that finished second in the 4x800 at State ⦠Was Salutatorian of her high school, graduating Summa Cum Laude ⦠named a National Merit Commended Scholar ā¦
