NCEA Second Team Academic All-American ... NCEA Academic Honor Roll.

2022-23 (Junior): Finished with a 2-2 record ... earned MOP honors vs. Baylor (11/4).

2021-22 (Sophomore): Earned a 4-3 record in the Flat … earned MOP honors at TCU (10/8), earning her point with an event-high 87.5-point performance, a top-10-scoring ride of the season for the Flat team.

2020-21 (Freshman): Flat Record: 1-2 … Fences Record: 0-1 … earned first collegiate point with a Flat score of 80 against South Dakota State (1/29)

Prep: Earned first at 2019 Maclay WEF to qualify for the George Morris … 2019 Maclay Hampton Classic runner-up … earned third in the 2019 Flat Phase USET Finals … finished top 5 in the junior jumpers at WEF in 2020 and in equitation at Devon in 2019 … earned ninth place at Hunterdon Cup Equitation Classic East … top-25 Medal and Maclay Finals in 2019 … trains under Katie Benson, Michael Dowling & Michael Meyers … started riding at six.

Personal: Born in April of 2002 in Belgium, where she lived until 2 … parents are Anne Birge and Michael Merchant … has one brother, Coleman, and one sister, Sarah … her aunt, Christina graduated from SMU … plans to major in Health and Society on a Pre-Med track and Human Rights … chose SMU because she saw it as the happy medium where she can be pushed both academically and athletically, be around driven individuals and spend time on a beautiful campus.
