Biography

2017-18 (Jr.) – Competed in 15 events... Posted a 7-7-1 record all in reining... Earned one MOP... Named to the Farnam NCEA All-Academic First Team... Earned APHA NCEA Academic Honor Roll.

2016-17 (So.) – Competed in nine events… Finished with a 4-4-1 record… Won three straight events (Nov. 11, Feb. 10 and Feb. 11)… Beat No. 5 Fresno State 69.5-67… Won 71-68.5 against No. 9 New Mexico State… Tallied a 70.5-70 win at No. 8 Fresno State… Academically, earned American Quarter Horse Association Academic All-America honorable mention status.
 
2015-16 (Fr.) – Competed in 15 events, all reining… Finished with a 4-11 record… Competed in the NCEA National Championship, where she posted a 131-120 victory over South Carolina’s Paisley Roberts… At the UEC Championship, topped Kenzie Perry of UT-Martin, 135-131… Earlier in the year, beat South Carolina’s Kara Guertin, 70.5-67.5… Won her first collegiate event Oct. 30 against South Dakota State, 71.5-66.5.

Prep: During Arabian career, won 14 National Championships primarily in reining, and won 5 Reserve National Championships… Eventually switched over to Quarter horses only.

Personal: Olivia Clair Pakula… Lives in Scottsdale, Ariz... Born in Kalamazoo, Mich… Parents are father Jeff and mother Josie… One sister, Jackie, and one brother, Ben… Trained by Martin Muehlstaetter… Hobbies include hunting and fishing… Chose SMU for the equestrian program, high-ranked education and the location of school… Is currently undecided on her major.
