John Mendow

John Mendow is in his fifth season at SMU, having come to the Hilltop in the fall of 2006. He came to SMU after working three years as the Assistant Equipment Manager at Tulane and three years as the Equipment Manager at Nichols State. He handles all aspects of athletic equipment including purchasing, fitting and maintenance, as well as transportation of the equipment to road sites.

Mendow is a member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association and led a staff that was voted Conference USA Equipment Staff of the Year in 2005-06.

Mendow earned a B.A. in kinesiology and an M.S. in Sport Administration from LSU, where he served five years as a student manager and two years as a Graduate Assistant Manager.
