Maddie Anderson joined the Mustang Staff in October of 2020 and serves as the Director of Graphic Design. Anderson oversees and produces all graphic content across SMU Football’s social media platforms, as well as content and design for recruiting efforts and communication. 

Prior to arriving on the Hilltop, Anderson served as a Graphic Design Intern with the South Carolina Gamecock Football team, where she was responsible for a variety of designs across social media platforms for Gamecock Football. She also assisted with the execution of photoshoots during recruiting visits, and was responsible for weekly designs as a key part of national recruiting efforts. Anderson worked directly with the Director of Graphic Design & Director of New and Creative Media and gained experience in Adobe Creative Suite software, studio and action photography, social media, and branding. 

In January of 2021, Maddie was selected to design for the College Football Playoff National Championship in Miami, FL. She was one half of the first female design duo for CFP and was responsible for producing all social media graphics for the duration of the championship weekend. Her graphic work gained a total of 1.2M engagements and 135.5k reactions across all @cfbplayoff social accounts.

Anderson graduated from the University of South Carolina in May of 2020 with a B.S.B.A. in Marketing and Graphic Design. She is also a graduate of the South Carolina Honors College and completed her Senior Thesis on The Importance of Branding and Creative Media in College Sports. Anderson is originally from Fort Mill, SC.
