Sophomore (2015): Played in eight games, making three starts... Recorded 10 tackles. Had an interception vs. James Madison and two passes defended.

Freshman (2014): Played in 11 games, making two starts (Houston, at Connecticut)... Recorded 20 tackles (13 solo) and three pass breakups... Had four tackles and two pass breakups against TCU... Tallied a season-best five tackles and one pass breakup versus Houston.

2013: Redshirted.

Prep: Named Honorable Mention All-State in 2012 and second-team All-District in 2011... Also lettered in track, earning All-District honors and qualifying for the state meet... Notched 28 solo tackles, 15 pass breakups and four picks in 2012... Added two receiving touchdowns on offense... Chose SMU over an offer from New Mexico.

Personal: Father, Alton Montgomery, played for the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons.
