2012-13 (Freshman): Redshirted after preseason shoulder surgery. Prep: Was a center for Coach Joe Rulewich at The Peddie School in Hightstown, N.J....As a senior, he averaged 15 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots as he was named All-State first team...He is an ESPNU four-star recruit that was ranked as high as No. 98 nationally and No. 16 among centers...He was also rated as high as No. 3 in the state of New Jersey.
