Jace Fredenburg was named the Director of Basketball Athletic Performance in September 2021. He joined the Mustangs after eight seasons with the Dallas Mavericks, the last five as the Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach.
With the Mavericks, he coordinated all facets of team training in conjunction with the medical and coaching staff, including working with medical staff and therapists through all stages of rehabilitation for injured athletes in progressing them back to play. Fredenburg also developed nutrition strategies for the team. He was responsible for biomechanical assessment and movement screening, and facilitated the sports science approach to performance by designing an innovative framework for athletes’ global physical and mental development while minimizing fatigue and optimizing physical readiness in order to minimize injuries.

Fredenburg has certifications as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS-RSCC) and Performance Enhancement Specialist (NASM-PES). He has a B.A. in business administration from Bellevue, where he played basketball.
