He also played a key operational role during Tennessee’s 2018 SEC Championship campaign. Overall, he boasts 14 games of NCAA Tournament experience as a manager or administrative staffer. During the 2018-19 season, he served as the assistant to the head coach under Rick Barnes when Tennessee reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament and a No. 1 ranking during the season. As a graduate assistant for Tennessee during the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons, he was responsible for several basketball operations duties, handling equipment distribution, oversight of the managerial staff and assisting with team meals and travel logistics. He also provided the program with a steadying presence and institutional operations knowledge during the coaching staff transition during the spring and summer of 2015. The Springfield, Va., native graduated from The Potomac School in McLean, Va., and was a member of the school’s 2008 state championship team. He owns Potomac’s career assists record. He received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Tennessee in 2013 and also earned a master’s degree in Ag Leadership, Education and Communications from Tennessee in 2015.

Condon is married to Danielle Averill.

“I have the ultimate trust in Kyle. His work ethic, his intelligence and his overall understanding of how a successful basketball program should operate is second to none. No one will spend more time each day consumed with how to make SMU Basketball better than Kyle will. Someday he will be a great Athletic Director. For now, I sleep better at night knowing he’s with us.” - Head Coach Rob Lanier
