Zach Chu was named Chief Strategist for Men's Basketball by Head Coach Andy Enfield in September of 2024.

A native of Dallas, Chu brings nine years of experience in the NBA to the newly formed role with the Mustangs, including the past three seasons on former Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle’s staff with the Indiana Pacers as Manager of Game Strategy and Analytics. Indiana reached the Eastern Conference finals this past season for the first time since 2014. 
 
Prior to Indiana, Chu served as an assistant coach for three years with the Texas Legends, the G-League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks, followed by two years as the Analytics Liaison to Rick Carlisle with the Mavericks.  Chu spent his first year in the NBA as a player development intern with the Los Angeles Clippers.  Chu has also traveled extensively as part of Nike’s grassroots basketball initiatives, including eight trips to the Far East.
 
Chu graduated from the University of Richmond where he earned four varsity letters in basketball and was named a 2015 Scholar Student-Athlete, while earning a B.S. degree in Finance.
