Biography

2023-24 (Junior): Played 13 games... Had 10 points and 14 rebounds... GAME HIGHLIGHTS: Had 4 points (2-2 FG) and a rebound in 4 minutes in the win at Rice 2/7... Added 2 points and 4 rebounds in win vs Tulsa 1/20... Had 2 points, 3 rebounds and a block in 7 minutes vs HCU 12/19.

Summer 2023 (SMU 3-0 in Spain): In three games, averaged 3.0 rebounds and a blocked shot… Had a tour-best seven rebounds in the win in Valencia.

2022-23 (Sophomore): Played in 25 games...had 42 points, 39 rebounds and 9 blocked shots... GAME HIGHLIGHTS: Added 4 points, 2 rebounds, a block and an assist in 10 minutes of the AAC First Round game vs UCF 3/9...Season highs of 14 points and 6 rebounds at Cincinnati 3/5... Added 2 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks and an assist in 9 minutes of the AAC-opening win vs Tulsa 1/1... Had 5 points, 2 rebounds and a blocked shot in 6 minutes vs Lamar 11/27.

Mo transferred from Eastern Michigan University prior to the Summer 2022 academic semester. He will begin the 2022-23 with three seasons to play.  
 
2021-22 (Eastern Michigan): As a Freshman, Mo played in 28 games, making 25 starts. He averaged 6.6 points on 61.9% FGs (73-of-118) and 5.3 rebounds per game. He hit double figures in seven games, including scoring a career-best 16 points twice, against Northern Illinois 2/22, and at Miami 3/4…Earned his first career double-double against FIU with 10 points and 11 rebounds 12/11. Mo had two double-doubles for the season and averaged 1.1 blocks per game (Ranked 8th in the MAC) He was selected to the MAC All-Freshman Team.

DME Sports Academy: Played for the DME Sports Academy on the Post Grad team for the 2020-21 season. He helped lead the team to a third-place finish at PhenomHoops Post Grad Nationals.

Prep: Graduated from Centerville High School and played for Head Coach Brook Cupps. Coming out of high school, he was a three-star recruit from Rivals.com and 247Sports.com. He was a three-year letterwinner and two-year captain. Mo averaged 15.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 4.5 blocks, 2.2 assists per game during his senior year. He broke three school records with 122 career blocks, 63.0 career field goal percentage, and most blocks in a game (12)…Guided the Elks to two district championships…Earned second team all-state while being named as a two-time first team all-conference honoree. He played AAU for the C2K Elite and All Ohio Red.

Personal: Muhammed Njie is the son of Baboucarr and Siala Njie. His father played basketball at IPFW…Has two brothers, Kebba and Boboucarr Jr.
