2013-14 (Junior): Played 23 games, starting 14, averaging 6.0 points and 3.9 rebounds in 14.0 minutes...GAME HIGHLIGHTS: Scored 4 points and hauled in 5 rebounds to go along with 2 blocks in 16 minutes, his highest minute total since injuring his knee on Feb. 6. Returned to the Mustangs' lineup against Temple (Feb. 6) after missing four weeks (knee). Scored 2 points and pulled down 4 rebounds in his return to the lineup. Started 14 games, averaging 9.1 points and 5.6 rebounds in 18.4 minutes prior to the injury. First Mustang to record a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds against Sam Houston State, his fourth-straight game in double figures in points. Shot 6-of-6 from the floor against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, the first player to shoot perfect from the field (min. 5 FGM) since Papa Dia went 10-10 against Southern Miss on Jan. 22, 2011...CONFERENCE RANKINGS (At time of Injury): 7th in FG% (56.6), 14th in defensive rebounds (3.9)... Prep: Was a forward for Coach Steve Green at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas... He is rated as the No. 1 junior college prospect by JUCO Junction on Rivals... As a sophomore, the JUCO All-American averaged 18.2 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.3 blocked shots and 1.2 steals as his team went 22-8 and spent much of the season ranked No. 1 in the nation... As a freshman, he was Honorable Mention All-American, WJCAC All-Conference and All-Region 5 after averaging 12.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.1 blocked shots. He helped South Plains College to a 36-0 season and the 2012 NJCAA national title... He was named MVP of the NJCAA National Tournament after leading South Plains in the 81-68 victory in the national championship game.
