NCAA Standards: 400 IM (3.44.09, 2026), 200 back (1:40.94, 2026)

Freshman (2025-26): Swam in ten meets … competed at the ACC Championships, making a C final in the 200 back to place 22nd overall … threw down a 400 IM time of 3:44.09 at the SMU Invite, earning himself third place in finals and the five-spot on SMU’s All-Time Top Performers List … posted a time of 47.41 at the SMU Invite in the 100 back, tying the tenth-fasted time on SMU’s All-Time Top Performers List … took home a victory in his collegiate debut against OCU & UIW on Oct. 3, finishing first in the 200 back with a time of 1:44.44 … secured a win in the 200 back with a time of 1:42.90 in the dual meet against Oklahoma Christian on Jan. 3 … nabbed two second-place finishes in the dual meet at Utah on Jan. 31: 200 back (1:45.21) and 200 IM (1:48.86) … touched the wall in 1:45.49 in the 200 IM at the ACC Championships, earning tenth on SMU’s All-Time Top Performers List.

Prep: The top-ranked swimming recruit out of Kansas … four-time member of the All-State team … five-time Missouri state champion … state record holder in the 200 IM ... named the 2024 All-American and 2024 Missouri State Swimmer of the Year …  finalist at Junior Nationals … his team has won three state championships during his time there.

Personal: Born on April 13, 2007 … son of Dmitri and Elena Baklanov … has two sisters, Anna and Leah.
