2008-09 (Fr.): Competed in the 100 free, 100 and 200 back and 100 and 200 butterfly his first year on campus... Set personal bests in four of those five events during time trials at the Conference USA Championships (2/25), doing it in the 100 free (47.98), 100 back (49.76), 200 back (1:48.23) and the 100 fly (49.39)... Personal best in the 200 fly came against Georgia (1/6) with a time of 1:56.26. Prior to SMU: All-American in the 100 fly and 100 back his senior year... All-American in the 100 fly his junior year... All-State and All-District in the 100 fly and 100 back his junior and senior year... Placed 7th in 100 fly at state and 11th in the 100 back his junior year... Finished 4th in the 100 fly at sate and 7th in the 100 back his senior year... Four-year letterman and team captain of his high school swim team junior and senior year; Personal: Graduated in the top 10% of his high school class and was a member of the National Honor Society... Son of Terry and Paula Shake... Has two older sisters (Nicci and Katie)... Plans to major in Computer Science at SMU.
