2012-13 (So.): Placed 16th in the 400 individual medley and 12th in the 400 freestyle relay (Alex Johnson, Matthew Mozdzen, Marshall McCann) at the Cougar Invitational... Finished fifth in the 200 medley relay (McCann, Mozdzen, Alex Johnson) versus TCU.

2011-12 (Fr.): Competed in the 100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard breaststroke, 200-yard individual medley, 400-yard individual medley, 500-yard freestyle, 1650-yard freestyle, 400-yard freestyle relay, 400-yard medley relay, 800-yard freestyle relay.

Personal: Anticipated biology and psychology major... Chose SMU for the school[apos]s academics, athletics and its beautiful campus... Enjoys singing, acting, reading and writing... Lists Eric Shanteau as his favorite athlete... Parents are Javier and Patricia Ochoa.. Has two sisters.
