2024-25 (Graduate Student): Saw action at eight meets ... competed at the NCAA Championships for the second consecutive year as a member of SMU's relay squads ... advanced to finals in the 100 breast and was apart of the school record setting 200 free and 400 medley relay squads at the ACC Championships.

2023-24 (Senior): Competed in 11 meets during his senior season … appeared in his first career NCAA Championships as a member of the 400 free relay squad which claimed a school record with a mark of 2:50.39 … won silver medals in the 50 free (19.47) and 100 breast (52.87) along with a bronze in the 100 free (43.22) while also claiming gold in the 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay during the A-Sun Championships  … won the 50 free with a time of 19.86 and took second in the 100 free with a time of 44.00 against Texas … placed second in the 50 free against Texas A&M … claimed second place in the 50 free and 100 breast with times of 19.54 and 52.77, respectively, during the SMU Invite … took second in the 50 free against Incarnate Word and Oklahoma Christian.
 
2022-23 (Junior): Swam in 11 meets for SMU during his junior campaign … took first in the 50 free during the American Short Course Championships … won gold in the 50 free (19.54), 100 free (43.07) and 100 breast (53.15) while also being a member of 200 free relay, 400 free relay. 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay squads that won gold at the American Conference Championships … placed second in the 50 free during the double-dual against Miami and Boston College … won the 100 free with a mark of 43.64 against TCU, along with being a member of the 200 free relay squad that earned a school-record time of 1:17.69 … placed second in the 100 free at the double-dual against Oklahoma Christian and Incarnate Word.
 
2021-22 (Sophomore): Appeared in nine meets for the Mustangs … placed second in the 50 free with a personal-best 19.72 during the American Short Course Championships … earned a bronze medal in the 50 free and gold in the 200 free relay during the American Conference Championships … earned a third-place finish during the dual meet against Texas A&M … placed second in the 50 free during the double-dual against Oklahoma Christian and Incarnate Word.
 
2020-21 (Freshman): Saw action in 12 meets during his freshman season … claimed silver in the 100 free and bronze in the 50 free with personal bests of 43.82 and 19.99, respectively, along with being a member of the goal medal winning 200 and 400 free relay squads during the American Conference Championships … was named the AAC Most Outstanding Freshman … earned second-place finishes in the 50 and 100 free against Missouri State … earned a second-place finish with a personal-best mark of 20.50 in the 50 free against Texas A&M … placed first in the 50 free with a time of 20.87 during the dual meet against Incarnate Word.
 
Prep: Lettered four years under Juli Zamora, Kevin Bell and Patty Young at Anderson High School ... earned All-America honors, was an eight-time State finalist and won Regional Championships in the 50 and 100 free ... also named Team MVP ... under the direction of Ryan Ciccareli at Capital of Texas Aquatics (COTA), named team captain and produced multiple Junior National time cuts ... member of the National Honor Society ... also lettered in water polo and was selected all-region.
 
Personal: Son of Jack and Marilyn Butler … has one sister, Katie … has a pair of cousins who graduated from SMU … anticipated major is sports management.
