Biography
2025-26 (Junior): Was the Aggies’ No. 2 entry in the 200 breaststroke with an NCAA cut of 1:54.82... Ranked fourth on the team in the 100 breast (53.73)... Competed in the 100 breast, 200 breast and 200 IM at SEC Championships...During the regular season, Bonilla Flores posted victories in the 100 and 200 breast against TCU and the 100 breast vs. SMU
2024-25 (Sophomore): Advanced to the finals in all three of his individual events at SEC Championships, finishing as high as 14th in the 200 breast (1:54.87), adding a personal-best 1:43.43 in the 200 fly and season-best 3:47.07 in the 400 IM... Lowered his personal-best with a time of 1:44.47 in the 200 fly, adding season-best times of 1:47.01 in the 200 IM and 3:51.81 in the 400 IM at the Art Adamson Invite.
2023-24 (Freshman): Advanced to the 200 breast final at SEC Championships, placing 17th with a personal-best time of 1:55.79, while also competing in the 200 fly and 400 IM... Clocked his top time this season in the 200 IM, going 1:47.38 at the Art Adamson Invite... Lowered his personal-best in the 200 fly with a time of 1:45.38, while also registering season-best times in the 200 breast (1:57.30) and 400 IM (3:50.96) at the double-dual with Texas and Georgia Tech.
Before A&M:
Competed for Coach Jeremy Wade at The Woodlands Swim team for four years... Represented Guatemala at the FINA World Junior Championships in 2022... Lettered all four years at The Woodlands High School, helping his team to a 6A State Championship in 2021 and a runner-up in 2022... At the 2023 state meet, Bonilla Flores was the runner-up in the 100 breaststroke (54.62) and placed third in the 200 IM (1:46.83), while also helping the 200 medley relay to a gold medal... At the 2022 state meet, Bonilla Flores tied for second in the 100 breast (school record 54.76) and placed sixth in the 200 IM (1:49.02), and help The Woodlands to a runner-up finish in the 200 medley relay.. At the 2021 state meet, he helped the Highlanders to the 200 medley relay state title, while placing second in the 100 breast (55.86) and fourth in the 200 IM (1:49.94)
