Biography

 
2025-26: CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in six meets during the season… Finished 52nd overall at the South Central Region Cross Country Championships with a time of 21:58.4… Competed at the ACC Cross Country Championships… Finished sixth overall in the 4k Cross Country at the Seashore meet with a time of 14:43.9… INDOOR: Competed in four meets during the season… Finished 14th in the mile at the Corky Classic… Clocked a personal best 5,000m time of 16:48.24 at the BU Valentine Invitational… OUTDOOR: Ran at four meets during the season… Ran a 10,000m personal best time of 36:08.42 at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic… Clocked a personal best 1,500m time of 4:32.59 at the SMU Invitational.  

Prior to SMU: Ruby Little comes to SMU as a sophomore, competing at University of Arkansas her freshman year. In high school she was the 2021 and 2022 GHSA 3,200 state champion, 2021 GHSA Cross Country State Champion, the GHSA 1,600m State Runner Up and 2022 cross country GHSA State Runner Up — running a top-10 fastest time in Georgia history. She is a four-time Atlanta Track Club Powerade All-Metro First Team honoree, 2021 Atlanta Track Club Ray Buckley Runner of the Year, and was awarded Most Valuable Player Award at her high school each year. She holds PRs of 17:06 in the 5k, 9:48 in the 3k indoor and 4:55 in the mile — all accomplished her freshman year of college.

Academically, she has accomplished a lot as well. She made the Dean’s List at Marist School all four years of high school, received the Physics Award in 2024, and was both a National Honor Society Member and French National Honor Society Member. While at the University of Arkansas, she made the Chancellor’s List in both the fall and spring semesters. She was a University of Arkansas Honors College member and member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society for first-year academic success. She is studying Art History and Architecture.

Her parents are Fenn and Ruth and her sister, Emily, ran at SMU her graduate year in the 2024-25 season and graduated from the Cox School of Business.
