PERSONAL: Bethan Laura Burley was born in Dorset England to parent’s Megan and Mark Burley … has one sibling, Nia (16) … father, Mark, played both rugby and soccer internationally for Wales u18-u21 ... Mother, Megan, played international field hockey for Wales including captaining the Welsh at the u23 European Indoor Championships … chose SMU because of the high standards and expectations of the track team, both athletically and academically, the beauty of the campus, as well as the great location in the heart of Dallas.
