Biography
High school: Camryn McPhaul comes to SMU from Plano West High School where she lettered in Track and Field each year from 2018 to 2022 under Coach Sean Fairchild. She was awarded Newcomer of the Year as well as Athlete of the Year during her high school career. She was drawn to SMU because of the inclusive environment and plans to study Engineering. Her parents were both college athletes as well. Her mother, Shazell, was an athlete at UNT and her father, Wesley, ran track at Baylor before running professionally for several years. Camryn also has a brother named Chris.
