Honami Kaieda is entering her seventh year (2020-21)Â as a member of the SMU Sports Medicine Staff and was elevated to an associate athletic trainer in January of 2020. Honami's primary responsibilities are for the healthcare of the women's soccer team.
Prior to coming SMU, Honami completed a year internship at High Point University, where she primary served for the men's and women's cross country and track and field teams. She earned her Master of Education at Auburn University in 2012 while she served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the US Army at Fort. Benning, GA. In 2011, she received a Bachelor of Science in athletic training from Indiana State University.
Honami is originally from Tokyo, Japan. She currently resides in Dallas, TX with her husband Hiro.
