2016 (Fr.): Indoor: Placed 21st in the 3000m (10:01.85) at the Music City Challenge…Member of the second-place distance medley relay team (12:21.57) at the Houston Invitational...Finished ninth in the mile (5:17.59) and 11th in the 3000m (10:38.93) at the New Mexico Cherry & Silver Invitational…Opened the season with a third-place finish in the mile (5:15.33) and a sixth-place finish in the 1000m (3:06.94) at the J.D. Martin Invitational…Outdoor: Did not compete.

Prior to SMU: Spent her freshman year at UT Arlington, but did not compete… Is a 2014 graduate of Bishop Dunne Catholic School where she lettered all four years in track and field and cross country… Her previous coach was Stephen Guerrero… Was the 2014 TAPPS 5A North Regionals Champion in the 3200 (11:38) and the 1600 (5:14.21) meters… In 2013, she was the TAPPS 5A Cross Country State Champion in the 3200 meters (11:39) ... Lettered in women’s varsity soccer for three years… Her favorite athlete is USA track and field runner Brenda Martinez… She competes for the Oak Cliff YMCA swim team in her free time… Her mom is Rosa Barrientos and her father is Carlos Barrientos… She plans on majoring in biology.
