Biography

2025-26: INDOOR: Second Team All-ACC (Pentathlon)… At the ACC Championships, she finished fourth overall with a score of 3749 points, the sixth best point total in school history… Placed second in the high jump (1.71m) and shot put (11.69m) to reach her point total… Also placed 13th in the high jump competition at the meet… Ran the eighth fastest 60m hurdle time in school history at the Don Kirby Invite with a time of 8.73… OUTDOOR: Competed in five meets during the season… Placed 8th overall at the ACC Championships in the heptathlon with a point total of 5,182, the eighth-best total in SMU history… Recorded personal best in five events and finished inside the top five in the shot put, high jump and 100m hurdles to reach her record total.

Prior to SMU: Renee Finke is the 2024 NAIA High Jump National Champion and the 2024 USTFCCCA South Central Region Indoor & Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year while at Central Methodist University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA in the top 10% of her class with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry. She was also the 2024 USTFCCCA National Scholar Athlete of the Year. She is pursuing her Masters of Science in Management at SMU. From Jonesburg, Missouri, her parents are Karl and Stephanie. Her mother was a dual sport athlete at William Woods University (basketball and volleyball) and was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame at WWU in 2023. Finke has five siblings and is half of one of the two twin sets in their family.
