DALLAS (SMU) - Laura Pomeroy has been named the Western Athletic Conference swimming & diving Athlete of the Week for the week of November 22. Pomeroy, a junior from Oakville, Ontario, Canada, earned two individual wins and was a member of three winning relay teams at the Texas A&M Aggie Invitational.

She grabbed first place in the 100 free (49.51) and also claimed individual gold in the 50 free (22.81). Pomeroy was a member of the first-place 400 free relay team (3:19.05), the first-place 200 free relay team (1:32.38) and the first place 400 medley relay team (3:40.78).

The SMU women?s swimming & diving team returns to action Dec. 3-5, when team members participate in both the US Open and the UT Invite.
