WAYZATA, Minn. (SMU) - The SMU men's golf team finished 10th this weekend at the Gopher Invitational at the Spring Hill Golf Club. SMU fired rounds of 306-305-303 to stand at 914, 31 strokes behind champion and host Minnesota (883).

SMU's top two golfers, Will Dodson and Colt Knost, struggled on the final day, carding a 77 and 78, respectively. Knost (76-72-78-226) finished in a tie for 24th, while Dodson (74-76-77-227) tied for 26th. Wes Homan shot a 73 over the final 18 to finish tied for 28th at 77-80-73-230. Dan Klecker (79-77-75-231-T30th) and Zeke Reyna (80-81-79-240-T54th) also competed for the Mustangs.

SMU returns to the course Sept. 26-27 at the UAB Shoal Creek Invitational in Birmingham, Ala.
