IRVING (C-USA) - SMU senior Flavia Rigamonti has been named the Conference USA Swimmer of the Week for Jan. 10, the league announced today.

The five-time NCAA Champion continues to be the leading force behind the No. 7 SMU Mustangs. The veteran tallied two individual titles against No. 1 Georgia on Jan. 7 en route to collecting her third Conference USA Swimmer of the Week accolade this season.

Rigamonti won the 1,000- and 500-yard freestyle events at Gabrielsen Natatorium, posting times of 9:52.84 in the 1,000-yard free and an NCAA-provisional qualifying time of 4:52.61 in the 500-yard free.

Rigamonti and SMU return to the waters on Saturday as the Ponies take on Texas A&M in College Station at 1 p.m.
