Ann Arbor, Mich. (SMU) - The SMU women's golf team carded a 308 in round two and sits in 12th place at 611 at the NCAA Central Regional at the UM Golf Course. The top eight schools from the 21-team regional and the top two individuals not on a qualifying team will advance to the NCAA Championships, scheduled for May 22-25 at the LPGA International Golf Course in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Only the Ackerson sisters carded scores in the 70s in round two for SMU. Jennifer stands at 145 (74-71) and is tied for 10th. Kate is next up at 150 (75-75) in 36th. Sarah Dodson (76-81-157-T74), Kristina Rothengatter (80-81-161-T89) and Ashley Deatherage (78-84-162-T93) round out the SMU team.
USC leads the team event at 571, while Jacqui Concolino of Vanderbilt sits at 7-under to lead as an individual.
