WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (SMU) - SMU's Ben Tewes tied for 10th at the Purdue/Midwest Shootout at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex on Saturday, Sept. 8, at the par 72, 7,467-yard Kampen Course. Tewes, a junior, shot 74 at the 18-hole event, which had been set for 36 holes but was shortened due to thunderstorms.

Draegen Majors also showed well for SMU, carding a 75 to tie for 17th. Kelly Craft (79-T57), Arwed Fischer (80-T63) and Frank Wrenn (88-T86) rounded out the Mustang group as SMU finished 11th overall in the 16-team event.

SMU returns to the links on Sept. 15 at the Gopher Invitational in Wayzata, Minn.
