Senior Sharee Shepherd tied a career-high by registering five assists for the fourth time. Shepherd attempted a season-high nine three-point shots. She finished 1-for-10 from the field, and 1-for-9 from three-point range.

The 62 points scored by the Mustangs represent their third-lowest scoring output this season. SMU finished with a season-low 26 rebounds.

Notre Dame Individual Season and Career Bests
Charel Allen tied her career-high and set a season-high by attempting 20 field goals. Allen finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds to give her a double-double. Ashley Barlow scored 20 points on 7-for-11 shooting and grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds to give her a double-double. She also finished with a game-high four steals. In two games in Mackey Arena this season (Barlow also played at Purdue on December 8th), she scored 42 points, grabbed 15 rebounds, shot 13-for-13 from the free-throw line, and made nine steals.

Notre Dame shot 0-for-5 from three-point range. This was the third time this season that the Fighting Irish have failed to make a three-pointer.
