DALLAS (SMU) - SMU matched a season-high with four goals from four different players, and Courtney Webb posted her fourth shutout of the season as the Mustangs rolled to a 4-0 victory over Southern Miss at Westcott Field.

The Mustangs (6-10-1, 4-5-1 C-USA) started the scoring in just the 2nd minute as Ryanne Lewis scored off a loose ball fed to her by Kaitlyn Eidson and Lauren Shepherd. The assists were both Eidson's and Shepherd's firsts of the season. Kenzie Scovill scored her second goal in the last three games, and her fifth of the season when she scored in the 44th minute, which gave SMU a 2-0 halftime lead.

SMU scored twice more in a span of just over two minutes in the second half, starting with Kristin Medeiros registering her first goal of the season on a long shot in the 53rd minute. Leslie Briggs registered her fourth goal of the season in the 55th minute off of a pass from Shelby Hartweck, her first assist of the season, giving the Mustangs their 4-0 margin of victory.

Southern Miss (4-12-0, 0-10-0) only had one shot on goal, which was saved by Courtney Webb, who recorded her third shutout in the month of October, and lowered her Goals Against Average to 0.73 during the month.

The Mustangs return to Westcott Field on Thursday, as they face Tulsa, with a spot in the C-USA Tournament up for grabs. SMU's Senior Night ceremonies follow the game, which starts at 7 p.m.
