DALLAS (SMU)- SMU fell 1-0 to the Marshall Thundering Herd Friday night at Westcott Field. Leslie Briggs led the Mustangs' attack with eight shots, four of which were on goal.
The Mustangs (3-8-1, 1-3-1 C-USA) battled Marshall (11-2-0, 4-1-0 C-USA) to a tie through 85 minutes, when Erika Duncan knocked in a rebound to give Marshall the game's only goal. The Mustangs led the shot count 16 to 10, and earned all six of the game's corner kicks.
