Primm, Nev. (SMU) - The SMU women's golf team is in 16th place following 18 holes of play at the Golfweek Conference Challenge at the Desert Course at Primm Valley Casino Resorts. SMU carded a 33-over 321 as a team for the first 18, just 11 shots out of the top-10 in the 18-team tourney. Freshman Tanya Wadhwa leads SMU with a 5-over 77 and is tied for 34th.

The second 18 at the 6,150-yard, par-72 course is set for Monday, with the final 18 scheduled for Tuesday.
